Our mission
Three commitments that define the network
Everything PLEXO does for its members follows from these — and every accredited institution signs up to all three.
Empowering institutions
Connecting licensed bookshops and libraries with international trade opportunities and the world’s major book fairs.
Protecting intellectual property
Enforcing strict anti-piracy policy and honouring copyright law across every member activity.
Facilitating global trade
Sustainable resource sharing, including the PEX international bulk second-hand book exchange for verified members.
Accreditation
A certificate that means something
Every PLEXO certificate is issued from London against three verified criteria and carries a unique ID, a QR code and a defined validity period. Anyone can check it against the register in seconds.

Exhibitions
Reach the fairs that matter
Members receive a guaranteed 25% discount on booth space at partner fairs, official invitation letters for visa applications, and coordinated delegation travel — from group hotels to shipping display stock.

Resources
One million titles, lawfully cleared
The PLEXO digital repository gives verified member libraries and universities access to open-access publications, public-domain classics and licensed digitisations — searchable by ISBN, author, year, discipline or language.

Certificate verification
Check any PLEXO credential in seconds
Every certificate carries a unique membership ID. Publishers, distributors, fair organisers and authorities can confirm an institution's standing against the official register — free, and without an account.

Accreditation opens in three steps
Submit your operating licence and proof of exhibition attendance. The Admissions Committee verifies both with the relevant national authority, usually within 10 to 15 working days. Your PLEXO ID and certificate follow on approval.
