Joining the PLEXO global network
Official membership guidelines, standards and application criteria for libraries, publishers and bookshops. Uniting verified institutions to raise global publishing and exhibition standards.
Section 1
Mandatory membership criteria
To qualify for full accreditation an institution must meet, and be able to prove, all three of the following.
Official operating licence
A valid, government-issued licence or registration to operate a bookshop, library or publishing entity in your home country.
Physical or active operational base
A verifiable physical presence — a library building, an established bookshop, or an active publishing office. Purely virtual or unauthorised entities are not eligible.
Annual exhibition compliance
Attendance at, or participation in, at least one recognised regional or international book fair each year. Proof of attendance or a booth pass is required at renewal.

What membership gives you
International accreditation
Display the official PLEXO digital badge, and receive a physical and digital certificate carrying a unique verification QR code.
Access to the PEX bulk exchange
The exclusive right to order wholesale second-hand and clearance book pallets sourced from across the network.
Exhibition delegations
Priority allocation, cost-effective joint pavilions and B2B meeting access at major fairs including Frankfurt, London, Bologna and Sharjah.
Global directory listing
Your institution featured on the interactive PLEXO member map, discoverable by trade partners, universities and publishers worldwide.
Section 3
Application and verification
From submission to certificate, here is the whole route.
Submission
Complete the application form and supply your operating licence and proof of exhibition participation.
Review
10–15 working days
The PLEXO Admissions Committee verifies your documents with the relevant regional authorities.
Approval and onboarding
On approval we issue an official notification together with the annual membership invoice.
Certificate issuance
You receive your unique PLEXO ID and your official Certificate of Membership.

Apply for membership
Tell us about your institution. Everything here is checked against the three mandatory criteria before your application reaches the Admissions Committee.
